4th ANNUAL MALU CHURCH OF GOD FAMILY GATHERING

The Church talks about Unity all the time and we want to help promote it! So, we have an opportunity to do just that on Sunday, September 11th!

MALU will be hosting their 4th Annual Family Gathering at Lake St. Clair Metropark, 31300 Metro Parkway, Shelter 3, Harrison Township. This event will give our churches an amazing opportunity to meet, fellowship, worship, share a meal and have fun together. We are asking you to sacrifice meeting here, in our church building, to be “The Church” as we join alongside other congregations to worship God. We will still have our 9:15 a.m. worship at Bethany and then travel to Metropark for the event. The event is from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. with lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and we will worship at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Albert Grant will lead a prayer rally based on 2 Chronicles 7:14. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, watermelon, music, and games. There will also be the following activities: Face painting, Pastor’s water balloon toss, board games, life-sized Jenga game and random snacking! Bring that neighbor or friend you cannot get to attend Church and let them experience what “The Church” is like. All activities are open to the public. This year we will continue with the theme of Unity and feature our third “If My People Rally” as we pray for our communities. If you need help with the cost of admission to the Park ($10) please let Pastor Jim know. We can also carpool for those that are interested in that. Please, prayerfully consider being a part of this tremendous opportunity for us to be “The Church”!

MALU Exists to:

• Support our congregations to find ways to collaborate and cooperate so that we can grow and move forward, even if it means combining our congregations because God’s return is imminent, and our lives are too short.

• Succession training to carry the work into the next generation. Establish a training facility to seek out those in our communities, who are interested in Pastoral ministry.

• Uniting the Metro Detroit Area by finding ways to extend our hearts and hands in fellowship to persons and families who have stopped attending church or have never been a part of the church. Through the collective minds of MALU we can make this happen.
